"Alpaca Gala Festival"

September 10, 2011 we were invited to join in the fun in New Richmond, OH at the Annual Alpaca Gala Festival hosted by our dear friends John and Audrey Sado of Stoney Brook Farm. There were 14 alpaca farms from OH, IN and KY...and we were the honored guests from TN. We had perfect weather, sold lots of alpaca products, and took 4 show boys that showered visitors with kisses! Captain Jack even went thru the obstacle course for the first time. Too funny. Thousands of visitors enjoyed the day of alpacas, live music, door prizes, pizza and ice cream, face painting, educational seminars and even autograph signing by Bengals Pete Johnson. See alpacagala.com website for more details and pictures!

"Living Green Expo"

On August 27, 2011 Mistletoe Farm Alpacas attended the local WIlliamson County "Living Green Expo."

We had a great time and attendance was very good . Met lots of nice local folks and sold alpaca products such as socks, scarfs, gloves, hats and felted purses. We demonstrated felting and weaving with alpaca and had many people sign up for our felting classes. We had great response to our leaf concrete basins (that I make with a friend) and our daughters hand made earrings! Even got to finish a felted runner or wall hanging or purse depending on what I decide to do with it!
We also handed out brochures and promoted National Alpaca Farm Day coming up September 24 and 25th!
